Aug. 8

1:04 a.m., information only, McWhorter; officers responded to a 911 hang-up. Dispatch contacted the caller, who advised the call was accidental.

11:53 a.m., theft, N. Johnson; caller reported a white male stole a bicycle from a garage. Officers located the juvenile suspect, recovered the bicycle and filed a case report. The juvenile was taken to the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center.

2:21 p.m., city ordinance violation, Turman; caller reported someone burning in a backyard. Officers found the fire had already been extinguished.

3:01 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564; caller reported a child crying near a red pickup. Officers determined the child was upset about leaving the store, and no offense had occurred.

3:17 p.m., information only, N. Newsom; vehicle repossession documented.

4:02 p.m., evading arrest/detention, N. Johnson; case report filed related to the earlier bicycle theft investigation.

4:41 p.m., found property, Greenville; officers recovered two stolen bicycles.

4:49 p.m., vehicle stop, 2200 block W. Broad; two warnings issued.

5:31 p.m., tobacco offense, N. Johnson; minor in possession of tobacco. Case report filed.

6:02 p.m., theft, English; caller reported a neighbor stole a bicycle but later returned it. Case report filed.

6:18 p.m., reckless driver, N. Pacific at city limits; Wood County Sheriff's Office reported a vehicle traveling with hazard lights on and unable to maintain a lane. Officers located the vehicle and determined a parent was teaching a son to drive. No violation occurred.

6:41 p.m., missing person, W. Blair; caller reported a juvenile missing. Officers contacted the child's father, who advised he had already picked up the child.

7:00 p.m., information only, N. Johnson; caller requested to speak with an officer regarding a stolen bicycle.

8:52 p.m., motorist assist, 1200 block N. Pacific; officers assisted with a disabled vehicle that was moved from the roadway.

10:46 p.m., city ordinance violation, Wigley; caller reported loud music. Residents agreed to turn the music down.

Aug. 9

3:17 a.m., welfare concern, Wigley; caller requested a welfare check on his wife and two children, stating he believed they were at a residence on Graham Street. Officers were unable to locate them.

3:23 a.m., disturbance, Graham at Ivey; officers responded to a fight. Two subjects were arrested following the incident. EMS responded, and the Wood County Sheriff's Office assisted. Case report filed.

4:13 a.m., public intoxication, Graham at Ivey; one subject arrested in connection with the earlier disturbance.

4:28 a.m., public intoxication, Graham at Ivey; one subject arrested in connection with the earlier disturbance.

8:40 a.m., harassment, W. Patten; caller reported ongoing harassment and stalking and provided evidence to officers. Officers also spoke with another party involved. Information documented.

4:58 p.m., disturbance, Kevin; caller reported another person throwing trash from a vehicle, honking and yelling. Case report filed, and a criminal trespass warning was issued.

5:47 p.m., fraud, Minwood; caller reported his elderly mother had sent money to a male subject. Case report filed.

6:38 p.m., motor vehicle accident, NE Loop 564; minor accident with no injuries. Both parties agreed to exchange information, and no report was requested.

8:43 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564; caller reported a distressed female walking through a parking lot. Officers contacted the woman, determined no assault had occurred, and EMS responded.

11:23 p.m., disturbance, Sycamore; caller reported her intoxicated father was making threats. Officers determined no assault had occurred. The subject left the area, and the Wood County Sheriff's Office was notified.

11:47 p.m., vehicle stop, 300 E. Broad; warning issued.

Aug. 10

3:36 a.m., assist other agency, Blue Bird Lane; officers assisted EMS with a juvenile. Patient remained with EMS.

7:47 a.m., found property, S. Hwy. 69 at River Bridge; caller reported a 6-foot ladder in the inside lane. Officers removed the ladder from the roadway.

10:56 a.m., reckless driver, 1100 E. Broad; caller reported an 18-wheeler unable to maintain a single lane. Officers stopped the vehicle and issued a warning.

2:24 p.m., welfare concern, Blue Bird Lane; caller requested a welfare check on a neighbor not seen or heard from in more than a month. Officers found no one home and were unable to make contact.

3:32 p.m., motor vehicle accident, 400 N. Pacific; minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Vehicles were moved from the roadway. Case report filed.

5:33 p.m., suspicious person/vehicle, Minwood; caller reported a white pickup parked at the end of Minwood. Officers determined the vehicle belonged at a nearby address.

5:42 p.m., reckless driver, S. Pacific at the city limits; caller reported a vehicle unable to maintain a single lane. Officers located the vehicle and observed no violations.

9:36 p.m., suspicious person/vehicle, CR 2724; officer checked on a parked vehicle. The subject left the area.

Aug. 11

12:44 a.m., assault, Wigley Street; caller requested to speak with an officer regarding an assault reported Aug. 9. Case report filed.

9:30 a.m., assist other agency, N. Pacific at NE Loop 564; officers assisted the Wood County Sheriff's Office after a caller reported an 18-wheeler unable to maintain a single lane. The caller later reported debris from the trailer struck a windshield in the county. The scene was turned over to the sheriff's office.

2:18 p.m., disturbance, N. Pacific; officers responded to a 911 hang-up with yelling heard in the background. Officers were unable to locate anyone needing assistance.

2:41 p.m., welfare concern, 100 Landers; caller reported a man appeared overheated while walking. Officers were unable to locate the individual.

4:28 p.m., reckless driver, 2200 N. Pacific; caller reported a black Nissan unable to maintain a single lane. Officers stopped the vehicle and found no signs of intoxication. Warning issued.

6:31 p.m., motor vehicle accident, Molly; caller reported another driver struck his vehicle. A case report was filed.

9:32 p.m., assist other agency, 1500 Bromberg; officers assisted with a helicopter landing zone. Landing zone operations were completed.

Aug. 12

12:13 a.m., welfare concern, Stone at W. Front; automated accident notification received. Officers were unable to locate an accident.

1:07 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, 200 W. Front; officer checked on two juveniles. A consent search of a backpack found no contraband, and no offense occurred.

9:48 a.m., burglary, N. Johnson; reference to a previous burglary case. Case report filed.

9:49 a.m., theft, Greenville; reference to a previous theft case. Case report filed.

11:35 a.m., theft, E. Broad; case report filed.

12:23 p.m., motor vehicle accident, E. Kilpatrick at N. Pacific; minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Vehicles were moved from the roadway. Case report filed.

12:33 p.m., welfare concern, Molly; caller requested a welfare check on an elderly man with health issues after not hearing from him since the previous week. Officers made contact and found him to be OK.

4:31 p.m., city ordinance violation, Sycamore; caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers were unable to locate the source.

8:39 p.m., welfare concern, W. Broad; caller requested a welfare check after receiving lab results and being unable to contact the subject. Officers made contact, found the subject was OK, and advised the caller. EMS was declined.

8:58 p.m., assist other agency, N. Newsom; officers assisted EMS with a medical call. No transport was required.

Aug. 13

8:32 a.m., information only, Stone; vehicle repossession documented.

9:09 a.m., animal control, S. Pacific; caller reported kittens had been trapped. Three bottle-fed kittens were taken to the animal shelter.

10:06 a.m., reckless driver, 2100 block N. Pacific; caller reported a red Dodge pickup with handicap plates passing vehicles on the shoulder and driving slowly. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

5:38 p.m., assist other agency, N. Pacific apartments; officers assisted EMS with a possible seizure. The patient was transported by EMS.

7:14 p.m., assist other agency, CR 2430; officers assisted EMS with an unresponsive juvenile who had suffered a seizure. The patient was transported by EMS.

9:00 p.m., assist other agency, Private Road 6209; officers assisted EMS with a medical call. Fire personnel responded, and the patient was transported.

11:06 p.m., suspicious person/vehicle, CR 2724; officer checked on a vehicle at the nature preserve after closing hours. Information documented.

Aug. 14

7:02 a.m., reckless driver, 700 Greenville Hwy.; caller reported a silver GMC Yukon swerving while traveling south on N. Pacific before turning onto E. McDonald. Wood County Sheriff's Office notified.

1:31 p.m., public assist, N. Johnson; caller reported a black car had been parked at a vacant house for more than a month. Officer contacted the owner, who advised the vehicle would be moved the following day.

2:04 p.m., information only, S. Newsom; caller reported her husband had pawned a ring and recently learned he was using drugs. Officer determined the ring issue was a civil matter and documented the additional information.

2:35 p.m., theft, N. Newsom; caller reported an asphalt company had connected to her outside water supply without permission. Officer spoke with the company, and the matter was resolved.

5:56 p.m., reckless driver, S. Pacific at the city limits; caller reported an erratic driver following vehicles too closely, honking and flashing headlights. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

6:06 p.m., reckless driver, 2200 block W. Broad; caller reported being followed closely, passed aggressively and brake-checked by another vehicle. Officers determined the reported driver was at home playing video games. No contact was made.

9:33 p.m., information only, N. Newsom; caller reported a patient transported to UT Health Quitman had left a blue 2014 Cadillac SUV in the parking lot. Information documented.

10:01 p.m., assist other agency, Second Street; officers assisted the Wood County Sheriff's Office with a warrant service.

10:19 p.m., warrant service, W. Blair; officers attempted to serve a warrant but were unable to locate the subject.

11:35 p.m., reckless driver, NE Loop 564; caller reported two trucks squealing tires and speeding through a parking lot. Officers were unable to locate the vehicles.

11:56 p.m., suspicious person/vehicle, N. Newsom; officer checked a vehicle parked near a donation box. A consent search of a bag found no contraband, and the bag was released to the subject.

Officers also conducted 61 traffic stops and responded to 19 animal control calls and two alarms.
