July 25
12:53 a.m., disturbance, Blue Bird Lane; caller reported a woman had been struck in the face during an argument and that a man displayed a firearm after others forced entry into the residence. Case report filed.
1:29 a.m., information only, Blue Bird Lane; caller reported witnessing two men kick in an apartment door. Information added to the disturbance investigation.
9:34 a.m., public assist, 300 Greenville; officer answered a question regarding a citation.
12:18 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564; officers responded to a 911 hang-up. Everything was found to be OK.
1:03 p.m., assist other agency, W Broad at CR 2880; caller reported a single-vehicle accident involving a vehicle that struck a sign and left the scene. Information was turned over to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
1:27 p.m., assist other agency, Francis; officers checked an address for the vehicle involved in the earlier hit-and-run and assisted the sheriff’s office.
5:31 p.m., city ordinance violation, Brenlind Lane; officers investigated a parking violation. Two citations and one warning issued.
6:10 p.m., assist other agency, Hwy. 69 North at W Loop 564; officers checked on a reported reckless driver. No violation was observed.
6:59 p.m., reckless driver, S Pacific at the city limits; caller reported a pickup tailgating and passing dangerously. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:57 p.m., welfare concern, 300 Greenville; caller requested a welfare check on a friend believed to be in Tyler. The caller was referred to the Tyler Police Department.
9:41 p.m., theft, W Broad; caller reported two patrons left a business without paying for merchandise. Case report filed.
10:47 p.m., assist other agency, 800 block W Broad; officers assisted a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper.
July 26
4:50 a.m., information only, 500 Giraud; officers responded to a 911 hang-up from a nonworking phone. Unable to locate anyone needing assistance.
7:13 a.m., welfare concern, Blue Bird Lane; caller reported a neighbor had left sprinklers running continuously and had not been seen for about a week. Officers contacted the homeowner, who had forgotten to turn off the water and was asleep.
9:01 a.m., welfare concern, 500 W Broad; caller reported an infant riding unrestrained in a vehicle. Officers found the child in a parked vehicle, observed a child safety seat and advised the mother to place the child back in the car seat.
10:59 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, S Loop 564 at S Pacific; caller reported an unattended vehicle under the overpass. Officers determined the vehicle appeared disabled and was not a traffic hazard.
11:14 a.m., information only, W Broad; property from a previous case was returned to its owner. The owner declined to pursue charges.
7:15 p.m., motorist assist, N Pacific at Greenville; officers assisted with a vehicle stopped in the roadway. The driver was able to continue.
10:28 p.m., assist other agency, FM 49; officers assisted the Wood County Sheriff’s Office with a reported disturbance involving a couple.
July 27
5:58 a.m., reckless driver, S Hwy. 69 at CR 2495; caller reported a speeding pickup passing multiple vehicles. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
9:12 a.m., welfare concern, W Broad; juvenile reportedly making concerning statements. The juvenile voluntarily went with a parent, and officers determined no offense had occurred.
11:15 a.m., public assist, 300 Greenville; fingerprints taken.
1:12 p.m., information only, N Pacific; caller reported someone was attempting to rent out her home without permission. Officers determined no offense had occurred.
2:00 p.m., fraud, 100 N Pacific; caller reported sending money to an unknown subject. Case report filed.
3:15 p.m., motor vehicle accident, NE Loop 564; caller reported a hit-and-run believed to have occurred earlier. Officer advised the caller to file a claim with his insurance company.
3:47 p.m., public assist, 300 Greenville; fingerprints taken.
10:20 p.m., assist other agency, CR 2600; officers assisted the Wood County Sheriff’s Office with a physical disturbance involving several possibly intoxicated individuals.
July 28
12:55 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, 1600 S Pacific; caller reported an 18-wheeler parked on the side of the road without reflectors. Officer determined the truck’s flashers were on.
2 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, 1800 N Pacific; officer assisted with pushing a disabled vehicle into the Public Works parking lot.
8:49 a.m., assist other agency, Dubose; officers located a missing person at his mother’s home. Detectives were notified and the missing person was removed from NCIC.
9:59 a.m., information only, Goodson Circle; vehicle repossession documented.
11:05 a.m., reckless driver, 1400 S Pacific; caller reported a vehicle unable to maintain a single lane. Officers located the vehicle parked at the owner’s residence. No further action taken.
1:35 p.m., information only, Greenville; caller wanted to speak with an officer regarding another patient allegedly throwing a Christmas tree. Officers determined no assault had occurred. EMS also responded to the location.
3:30 p.m., welfare concern, Brenda; 911 hang-up call. Officers were unable to locate anyone needing assistance.
7:40 p.m., welfare concern, N Pacific; caller reported two people yelling at each other. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.
9:31 p.m., welfare concern, 2200 N Pacific; caller reported hearing two men yelling near a gray truck. Officers found everything to be in order.
July 29
7:57 a.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564; caller reported people asleep inside a vehicle in a parking lot and requested they leave. One vehicle had already left before officers arrived. Officers spoke with the remaining occupants, who agreed to leave.
9:07 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, Hogg; caller wanted to press charges after juveniles knocked on the door at 1 a.m. Officers determined no offense had occurred and added the area to directed patrol.
11:27 a.m., criminal mischief, N Pacific;
12:10 p.m., public assist, 300 Greenville; fingerprints taken.
2:10 p.m., motorist assist, E Broad at N Pacific; disabled vehicle removed from the roadway.
9:27 p.m., motor vehicle accident, S Pacific/Maxine; caller reported a white Honda struck her vehicle and fled. Officers located the vehicle, conducted a DWI investigation, and arrested the driver. The suspect was transported to the Wood County Jail after a blood draw. An open container and contraband were also reported during the investigation.
July 30
2:20 a.m., assault, 1100 block N Pacific; caller reported being assaulted by her boyfriend around 1:15 a.m.
8:27 a.m., escort, Meadowbrook; escort completed.
8:53 a.m., motor vehicle accident, N Johnson at Greenville; minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries. One vehicle remained in the roadway until removed. Case report filed.
10:07 a.m., theft, N Johnson; caller reported a vehicle stolen but later located it before it was entered into state and national databases. Officers will review area surveillance video. Case report filed.
10:19 a.m., reckless driver, W Loop 564 at Greenville; caller reported a vehicle unable to maintain a single lane. Officers located the vehicle and determined the driver was putting on makeup. Warning issued.
11:24 a.m., public assist, N Pacific; caller reported a vehicle stuck on the property. Officers determined the vehicle was not stuck and no property was damaged. The driver left the scene.
7:29 p.m., assist other agency, Cheek; officers assisted EMS with a lift assist.
9:44 p.m., assault, Wigley; caller reported being assaulted by her husband and said she was afraid of him. Officers used the Language Line to communicate with the victim. Incident report filed.
July 31
5:48 a.m., reckless driver, Pacific; caller reported another driver flashed a handgun during a road rage incident while traveling toward Lindale. Officers determined the firearm was displayed but not pointed at anyone. Caller declined to pursue charges.
9:12 a.m., motor vehicle accident, N Pacific; single-vehicle crash after vehicle spun out and struck a curb. Unknown injuries. Incident report filed.
10:58 a.m., theft, S Pacific; caller reported a former employee took a laptop and facility keys July 20 and refused to return them. Officer contacted administration for follow-up regarding final paycheck.
12:56 p.m., information only, 300 Greenville; fingerprints completed.
4:37 p.m., welfare concern, Debby; caller reported a sexual assault at work. After investigation, officers determined no sexual assault occurred. A criminal trespass warning was issued.
4:39 p.m., welfare concern, Wigley; caller reported his wife took his Suburban the previous night and had not returned it. Officer determined it was a civil matter and referred the caller to Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
8:21 p.m., assist other agency, Merideth; caller reported a man lying on the sidewalk who could barely stand and appeared disoriented.
Officers also made 90 traffic stops and answered 14 animal controll calls and 4 alarms.
