Mineola Police Report
June 20
12:25 a.m., public assist, N. Newsom Street, resident reported leaving a gas burner on overnight. Burner was turned off, no gas leak detected, fire department assisted with ventilation, scene cleared.
9:21 a.m., escort, Meadowbrook, funeral escort requested to Beatty Funeral Home, Wood County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
12:28 p.m., information only, 1044 W. Loop 564, officer rendered first aid to a juvenile at the football field, EMS not needed.
7:02 p.m., assist other agency, 1500 block E. Highway 80, single-vehicle crash with unknown injuries, fire department canceled, incident turned over to DPS.
7:17 p.m., information only, 200 block E. Broad St., report of smoke in the area determined to be from cooking.
7:46 p.m., assist other agency, 135 Autumn Winds Court, resident with head injury transported by EMS.
7:52 p.m., traffic stop/arrest, 100 block E. McDonald St., driver found to have an active warrant and transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office
9:07 p.m., reckless driver, 1200 block N. Pacific St., report of silver Honda CR-V unable to maintain lane, officer determined driver was eating while driving and observed no signs of impairment.
11:04 p.m., reckless driver, S. Pacific Street/city limits, report of black Chevrolet pickup unable to maintain lane, unable to locate.
June 21
2:35 a.m., ordinance violation, Mimosa Drive, noise complaint, unable to locate.
3:16 a.m., ordinance violation, Mimosa Drive, continued report of loud music, unable to locate source.
3:45 a.m., ordinance violation, Ryan Street, officer located possible residence from previous complaints, music turned off, no ordinance violation observed.
1:28 p.m., assist other agency, Greenville Avenue/city limits, report of black Jeep unable to maintain speed or lane, officer observed no violations.
5:28 p.m., warrant arrest, E. Broad St., motel employee requested assistance for stranded individual, subject found to have an active Titus County warrant and transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
June 22
12:08 a.m., suspicious person, 100 W. Front St., subject found sitting near the train depot listening to music, no offense.
7:21 a.m., reckless driver, FM 49 and CR 2460, report of white Jeep unable to maintain lane, unable to locate.
7:30 a.m., information only, Belcher Street, roadway closure announced for maintenance between South Street and S. Johnson Street.
9:18 a.m., public assist, Mimosa Street, abandoned vehicle on private property, caller advised to have vehicle towed.
1:12 p.m., public assist, 100 block Minwood, shoes hanging from cable line, cable company notified.
1:33 p.m., suspicious person, 512 S. Johnson St., report of male inside fenced property, unable to locate.
2:48 p.m., violation of protective order/arrest, McDonald Street, subject arrested for violating a protective order and transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. Nicholas Palacios arrested.
3:17 p.m., public assist, 100 block E. Broad St., disabled 18-wheeler hauling horses, roadway cleared after assistance.
5:46 p.m., assault, Sycamore Street, caller reported being slapped, suspect left prior to officer’s arrival, complainant declined charges.
7:41 p.m., assist other agency, W. Front St., EMS assist.
7:46 p.m., motor vehicle accident, N. Newsom Street and Meadowbrook, two-vehicle crash with injuries, fire department, EMS and officers responded.
9:15 p.m., welfare concern, Bluebird Street, welfare check requested, officers made contact and determined subject was okay.
June 23
12:31 p.m., warrant service/search warrant, CR 2220, search warrant executed, subject detained during search.
2:09 p.m., civil matter, Peach Street, officer responded regarding entry into residence and discussed eviction procedures.
2:29 p.m., welfare concern, N. Pacific St., accidental 911 hang-up.
5:03 p.m., criminal mischief, W. Buchanan St., caller reported board removed from window, case report filed.
5:33 p.m., public assist, 300 Greenville Ave., officer answered citizen’s questions.
7:05 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564, man requesting money for medication issued criminal trespass warning and left area.
7:34 p.m., welfare concern, Second Street, welfare check requested after woman failed to report to work, officers made entry, EMS transported subject.
8:57 p.m., harassment, W. Patten Street, caller reported unwanted text messages, officer advised subject to stop contacting complainant.
11:11 p.m., suspicious person, N. Newsom Street, subjects left the area without incident.
June 24
9:47 a.m., reckless driver, U.S. 69 and SW Loop 564, report of white Ford F-250 driving recklessly, officer observed no violations.
12:22 p.m., motorist assist, N. Newsom Street, officer assisted motorist with flat tire.
2:50 p.m., harassment, N. Pacific St., complainant reported ongoing online and phone harassment, officer met with complainant.
4:39 p.m., theft, N. Johnson Street, bicycle reported stolen, incident report filed.
5:47 p.m., suspicious person/arrest, W. Buchanan Street, suspicious activity reported, Leesa Trout arrested and transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
6:24 p.m., suspicious person, N. Line Street and W. Patten Street, report of door-to-door solicitor, subject located and issued a citation.
8:41 p.m., reckless driver, N. Pacific St./city limits, report of silver Smart Car unable to maintain lane, warning issued, no signs of intoxication.
June 26
12:00 a.m., assist other agency, Highway 80 and CR 2651, unconscious male reported, subject taken into Wood County Sheriff’s Office custody, vehicle towed.
6:39 a.m., information only, Belcher Street, roadway closures for water line installation.
9:01 a.m., found property, 115 N. Pacific St., license plate recovered near the depot and turned in.
10:21 a.m., public assist, 900 block S. Pacific St., officer provided traffic control for delivery truck blocking roadway.
11:33 a.m., motorist assist, 900 block E. Broad St., disabled vehicle on private property, owner advised to contact towing service.
12:04 p.m., public assist, 526 Front St., caller concerned about grass blowing into roadway during mowing, no contact made.
12:51 p.m., criminal trespass, 115 Langford St., caller requested subject leave private property after using business Wi-Fi, subject complied.
1:17 p.m., violation of protective order, W. McDonald Street, report of violation, unable to locate subject.
1:58 p.m., reckless driver, 500 block E. Broad St., report of blue Ford F-150 driving aggressively, unable to locate.
2:25 p.m., fraud, Molly Street, caller reported online scam attempt, officer discussed matter with complainant.
2:53 p.m., public assist, 2000 block W. Broad St., utility pole arcing near city limits, fire department notified.
4:26 p.m., welfare concern, W. Broad St., officer provided courtesy transport for homeless man.
6:01 p.m., welfare concern, W. Loop 564 and CR 2210, elderly man reported walking in roadway, family contacted and reunited with subject.
9:21 p.m., motorist assist, 1400 block S. Pacific St., vehicle stopped in roadway while driver was on phone, vehicle left area.
10:23 p.m., found property, W. Buchanan St., found property report documented.
Mineola police also made 115 traffic stops and answered six animal control calls and 7 alarms.
