Thank you to all who baked for our bake sale hosted by City National Bank. Thank you CNB for hosting this bake sale. Thank you to all who purchased baked goods. Your support means a lot to us. It was a successful venture.

Friends of the Library will meet Thursday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the library to discuss upcoming plans. Depending on weather and volunteers they may host a book sale on Saturday, April 15. Watch their Facebook page for details (Friends of the Mineola Memorial Library.)

Haven’t the bluebonnets been beautiful this year? These are wildflowers and get no help from this writer at all. Our yard man lets them go to seed, stomps them into the ground, then mows (without a bag). What happens after that is up to nature.

Looking for something to do as a volunteer? We have a little inventory going on in the library.  We have shelves to dust. Outside we have flower beds to weed, leaves to rake, bricks to pull up, and possibly some painting on the horizon. Just a thought.

Remember, we do have eBooks through both the Simply E platform and Freading. Both are free  to use if you have a Mineola Memorial Library card. In the TexShare database, try the Biblioboard and e-Books@EBSCOhost databases for more eBook selections.

We hope to see you soon. Our library hours are Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 9-5:30, Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-4 and Saturday 9-3. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Remember, the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax deductible. We have received a memorial for Lisa Cater from the Darby families and a donation to the library by Tim and Celia Boswell.
