Mineola Library Notes
February just flew by. I know it was a short month anyway, but it went by very quickly!
First of all, we want to say a great big Thank You to the Meredith Foundation for their generous support of the Mineola Memorial Library. We do appreciate it, and will do our best to continue to serve our community as best we know how. Thank you!
We have begun offering the Texas America250 Reading Challenge: “Mosey along the Reading Trail.” This is for anyone to attempt. Try to read 2,500 minutes before the end of 2026. The 2,500 minutes include reading books, listening to books, volunteering in the community, attending Library events, or visiting a Texas State Park where you can attend a Ranger Program or read informative signs within the park. There will be small rewards along the way.
Saturday, March 14 is Toddler 2x2 at 2 p.m. It is for children 18 months to 3 years old with their parent/caregiver, and only happens on the second Saturday of the month. This is all that is scheduled during Spring Break week.
Programs return to their regular schedule for the week of March 17 to 28, then programs will be suspended while two staff members have the opportunity to attend the Public Library Association Conference in Minnesota. They plan to come back refreshed, revived and filled with confidence to continue our efforts and potentially add more to the library in the way of displays, activities, programs, etc.
The Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and your donations may be tax-deductible.
