Mineola boys headed for state baseball playoffs
Mineola High School concluded its regular baseball season Tuesday with a game at Winnsboro.
The four District 13-3A playoff teams are set with only seeding to be decided.
Headed into the final games, Harmony and Winnsboro were tied atop the district at 9-2 while Mt. Vernon was sitting third at 8-3. Mt. Vernon and Harmony played Tuesday.
Mineola was in fourth at 7-4 but trying to pull into a third-place tie with Mt. Vernon.
Mineola lost to Mt. Vernon last Tuesday 6-3, then beat Chapel Hill Friday 12-0.
