Kamron Justin Taylor 1997-2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kamron Justin Taylor, who left this world far too soon on Nov. 5, 2025 at the age of 28, following a tragic car accident.
Born on July 17, 1997, Kamron was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend whose warmth and light touched everyone he met. He was married to the love of his life, Kathleen “Katy” Joy Taylor, on Oct. 8, 2022. Together they built a beautiful family and forged an unshakable bond. He leaves behind their two precious children, Elliott Mack, age 2, and Delilah Jo, age 4 months, who were the center of his world and the purest reflection of his gentle heart.
Kamron is survived by his father, Kevin Taylor of Quitman; sisters, Alicia Mendoza Ray (Eddie Ray II), Sara Taylor Metzel (Luke Metzel) and Melanie Hansen (Zach Hansen); brothers, Fernando Mendoza (and Emaline, Fernando’s dog and Kamron’s close companion) and Wesley Taylor (Dacia Taylor); mother‑in‑law, Kristy Morgan; and sisters‑ and brothers‑in‑law, Kinsey Smith (Ben Smith), Cooper, Carter, Corbin and Callie Clearman. He was the adored uncle of Layla, Ava, Emery, King, June, Ella, Beck, Elaina, Adeline and Gwen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josie Taylor; father‑in‑law, Monte Clearman; grandparents, Juan Rios Ybarra, Adelina Avila Ybarra and Charles Mack Taylor; godmother, Rosemary Ybarra; godfather Raul Ortiz; and his favorite dog, Alice.
Kamron’s life was marked by kindness, curiosity and joy. He had a heart as big as his frame — a gentle giant whose hugs wrapped you in love. His patience and positivity were constants; he never spoke poorly of others and always brought light into the room. Kamron’s childlike spirit made him endlessly fun and imaginative, especially with his children, with whom he shared magical moments of laughter and play.
He loved animals, especially frogs, lizards and dogs, and found happiness in the outdoors, fishing and cooking. A fearless eater with “taste buds of steel,” Kamron never turned down a challenge — the spicier the better. He adopted the Philadelphia Eagles as his team, a passion inspired by his former teacher, youth minister and friend, Chris Bryant.
Kamron’s sudden passing is a devastating loss for his family, who only months ago said goodbye to his beloved mother, Josie. His wife and children were spared from their own serious accident just weeks ago — a reminder of how fragile life is and how precious every moment together can be.
Kamron will be remembered for his open heart, his radiant smile and the rare tenderness he brought to the world. In a time when such qualities are too often overlooked, he embodied gentleness, empathy and joy. His memory will live on in the laughter of his children, the stories of his family and the countless lives he brightened along the way.
A celebration of Kamron’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mineola Nature Preserve, 1860 County Rd. 2724, Mineola, TX 75773.
