The Wood County Monitor honored retiring writer, photographer, and columnist John Arbter with a celebration held Thursday, July 2. Pictured are Arbter, Debbie Phillips, Carley Tucker, Lesa Major, Kim Matthews, Larry Tucker, Phil Major, and James Taylor. [Publisher’s Note: Due to a timing issue with an interview, Editor Carley Tucker was photographed but had to leave before the group photo, and was added to the above image. As is ethical practice in journalism, anytime a photo is heavily manipulated such as this, it will be tagged as a photo illustration, with an explanation of what was changed. This is to maintain a professional and proper transparency with our readers, so you know what you see and read in the newspaper is presented with honesty and transparency.]
