The Wood County Historical Commission will host an open house at its archive building from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 115 W. Lipscomb, on the north side of the square in Quitman.

The 1932 Common Ridge School friendship quilt will be on display. It has names of students in the primary grades (1-3).

The Common Ridge School was by the Little Hope Baptist Church, where the school bell is still on display.

Other exhibits at the archive building include agriculture, industry, metal detecting finds and cemeteries.
