Faith Baptist Church of Quitman will hold VBS EXPRESS PLUS on Saturday, June 6. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a one-session Vacation Bible School. A family-oriented community block party will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the church parking lot.
“This fun, family event for our community is our way as a church to give back to the community in which we serve,” said Pastor Mike Midkiff. “Our church members delight in seeing smiles on children’s faces as they enjoy the activities planned for the evening.”
VBS EXPRESS will be held in the Faith Baptist Student Center, located next to the Quitman Police Station, from 3-6 p.m. for children 4 years old through those who have completed fifth grade. Children will rotate through different stations in the student center. One station is a puppet show telling a story from the Bible. “Kornpop the Klown” will conclude VBS EXPRESS with his fun antics and a presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The “PLUS” to VBS EXPRESS is the community block party, to be held from 6-8 p.m. in the church parking lot at 405 S. Hart St. that same evening, June 6. The block party is for the whole community to gather for an evening of games, inflatables, a cake walk, face painting, a petting zoo, free grilled hot dogs, door prizes such as a flat-screen TV and more.
All activities planned for “VBS Express Plus” will be at no cost to those who attend. For more information, call 903-492-3535 or visit www.faithbaptistquitman.org.
