Community friends hosting Christmas meal

The Mineola Community Friends are putting on their annual “Friendsmas” event on Christmas Day. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Logan’s Place. Organizer Brandi O’Shea says that attendees do not need to do anything in order to attend: “Just show up,” said O’Shea.
Friendsmas is completely free and open to everyone – individuals, families, neighbors and anyone who could use a warm meal and friendly faces during the holiday season, according to its website.
The MCF also does free food deliveries within the MISD boundaries that day. To get a food delivery or for more information, check out linktr.ee/mineoalcommunityfriends.
The MCF is also accepting volunteers and donations for the meal. They expect around 500 attendees.
