Betty Faye Brotherton 1934-2025

Betty Faye Brotherton was born on July 26, 1934 and was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 16, 2025. 

Betty graduated from Tyler High School and attended Tyler Junior College as a student and performed as an Apache Bell.    

Betty married Billy Joe Brotherton and they welcomed two sons, Joe Mark Brotherton and Michael Wayne Brotherton. She had six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Betty worked for several years at First National Bank in Mineola.            

Prior to 2020, Betty attended Green Acres Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends, especially at the senior dances. She loved getaways with friends, she enjoyed spending all the holidays with family and going on cruises with family and friends. 

Betty is survived by her beloved son, Michael Brotherton. 

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lester and Opal Lee Blackmon; her husband, Billy Joe Brotherton; and son, Joe Mark Brotherton.

Betty will be deeply missed by so many, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
