402nd District Court hears motions for adjudication
The 402nd District Court overheard several motions for adjudication on March 25. This decides whether a case is dismissed, or whether someone who has already received deferred adjudication is officially sentenced. Motions are listed below.
Cole Wayne Weems, Winnsboro, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, second degree felony, confinement 10 years in state prison, jail credit 150 days.
Shayne Lynn Joeckel, Longview, failure to register as a sex offender, third degree felony, confinement 10 years in state prison, jail credit 188 days.
Dameon Lord Zukowski, Alto, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1/1-B, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony, confinement 8 years in state prison, jail credit 111 days.
Zachery Roy Allen, Winnsboro, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony, community supervision 4 years, community service 160 hours, confinement 10 years in state prison, jail credit 35 days, suspended 4 years.
Stephen Chase Huff, Hawkins, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony, 2 years in state prison suspended for 3 years community supervision, community service 120 hours.
Caitlin Leann Newsom, Mineola, assault causes bodily injury of family/household member with previous conviction, third degree felony, confinement 5 years state prison, jail credit 192 days, $3,100 fine.
Christopher Wayne Carrell, Lone Oak, continuous violence against the family, third degree felony, confinement 7 years in state prison, jail credit 291 days, $1,000 fine.
