November 2

Cpl. Baldwin, abandoned vehicle, County Road 2700; had been reported stolen, was inventoried and towed.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief report by phone; caller observed several vehicles on side of Hwy. 37 bunched up with people in them. As caller drove past, driver’s side window busted, believes someone shot at vehicle with BB gun, no suspects.

Investigator Bowring, theft; someone working on motor home refused to return it. Suspect contacted, stalled on returning vehicle multiple times. After landowners refused to allow deputies on property multiple times, search warrant obtained, motor home returned. Linda Jones, 79, Yantis arrested for outstanding warrant.

November 3

Deputy Kovic, burglary, Hwy. 80; owner checks property every two weeks, discovered someone had broken into buildings, taken items, provided list of missing items, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, burglary, Private Road 6963; homeowner noticed someone had broken into residence, stole items, list made, case forwarded to investigations. 

November 4

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Way, scam; caller received call advising he owed money to loan company, caller advised to report information to credit bureaus. 

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Way, welfare check, FM 2869; driver slurring words unable to complete field sobriety tests. Lisa Bell, 59, Big Sandy arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Whisenhunt, terroristic threat; caller filed burglary report, suspects threatening to shoot house, security check entered, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Way, disturbance Hwy. 11; witness stated victim’s father came to camper, yelling, did not want to press charges. It was found father barred from contact with victim, case forwarded to investigations.

November 5

Deputy Whisenhunt, identity theft; caller received debit cards in mail for two bank accounts he did not open, bank froze accounts, will fill out identity theft packet.

Deputy Pollard, disturbance, Holiday Village; victim pushed by mom’s boyfriend, no evidence of assault. 

November 6

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, FM 14; argument between victim, son turned into pushing each other, parties stated they had no injuries, did not wish to pursue charges.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Way, burglary, Hwy. 37; witness noticed window busted out, building owner did not observe anything missing. 

Sgt. Williams, disturbance, County Road 1386; victim advised while driving, friend pulled out knife, attempted to hit him. Witnesses observed female to pull out knife. Courtney Taylor, 26, Winnsboro arrested for aggravated assault.

November 7 

Deputy Rapp, disturbance, FM 17; victim stated van partially in driveway, asked driver to move, refused to move, van was moved, driver made aware of criminal trespass against him.

Sgt. Cox, shots fired, County Road 1676; caller heard gunshot, bullet fly by, neighbor contacted, stated he shot in air to scare off dogs, neighbor advised about shooting so close to other houses and shooting in air.

Deputy Kovic, theft, Private Road 7687; owner advised more items stolen from residence. Deputies checked residence where possibly located, not found, case forwarded to investigations.

November 8

Cpl. Baldwin, theft; workers had item stolen, knew suspect, caller advised to have property owner report, has yet to do so.

Deputy Gould, theft; when caller came home from work, observed vehicle to be gone. Hunt County Sheriff’s Office called victim, advised they found vehicle wrecked, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Hughes and Cpl. Maye, disturbance, County Road 1975; witness advised suspect left residence, went into woods. After suspect located, victim advised he and suspect got into argument, she hit him in face. Crystal Smith, 49, Wilmer arrested for assault.
