August 3

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, FM 17; caller’s father gave her a camper, keeps coming to try and get items out of camper. Caller was advised to contact constable to let the father get all items out at once. 

Deputy Croney, theft; victim purchased machine and continually working on it, on another person’s property, the last time he went to work on it, machine was missing; case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Morrison, theft, Hwy. 80; victim advised while unloading groceries, neighbor stole some. Victim did not have receipt of items, suspect not found, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Skinner, traffic stop, FM 14; observed vehicle with no license plate, expired registration. Driver admitted having narcotics. Douglas Weathersby, 38, Kilgore arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Cpl. Cooper, possible stolen vehicle, County Road 1591; caller purchased vehicle off social media, showed stolen on VIN website, confirmed stolen, vehicle was towed, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, assault, Mineola; victim’s nurse advised she was assaulted the day before when she went to boyfriend’s house to retrieve property, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

August 4

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, County Road 3450; caller’s neighbor backed into shed, advised to get insurance information, file claim.

Cpl. Cooper, unauthorized use of vehicle; agency advised located vehicle, owner lived in Wood County, owner contacted, wished to report vehicle stolen, vehicle later recovered.

Cpl. Cooper, suspicious person, County Road 3546; caller’s son tried to purchase marijuana from vehicle on county road, later discovered son successfully went to suspect’s residence bought marijuana. Suspect will be charged with delivery of marijuana to child.

Deputy Atkinson and Sgt. Sepulvado, warrant service, Winnsboro; served civil papers, attempted to serve warrant, suspect tried to resist arrest. Theresa Wells, 56, Winnsboro, arrested for outstanding warrant, resisting arrest.

August 5

Deputy Rapp, County Road 3496, firearm theft; victim left firearm inside truck, did not have suspects, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, theft, FM 779; someone stole parts off vehicle, did not have suspects, case forwarded to investigations. 

Lt. O’Grady, theft; someone stole RV from yard, did not have suspect, RV will be entered as stolen. 

Deputy Williams, criminal mischief, Yantis; someone hit victim’s gate, caused damage, able to give persons of interests, case forwarded to investigations.

August 6

Deputy Williams, disturbance, County Road 1560; while driving, victim and son got into argument, son hit him multiple times, suspect later found, admitted to assaulting father. Ethan Ralph, 25, Alba arrested for assault.

Deputy Rapp, unauthorized use of vehicle, FM 14; victim’s grandson took car during night, hasn’t returned it, victim’s granddaughter returned it with damage, multiple items stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

August 7

Deputy Kovic, unauthorized use of vehicle, County Road 3494; victim’s son had been living on property, took vehicle during night, did not know where son was located, vehicle entered as stolen.

Deputy Williams, damaged property, Private Road 5985; neighbor hit mailbox, did not wish to pursue charges, advised he would get neighbors insurance information.

Deputy Mayer, theft; caller advised male came to house, acting suspiciously, discovered phone missing, believed person used phone to get banking information previously, case forwarded to investigations.

August 8

Deputy Morrison, criminal trespass; caller believes tenants living in cabin on property, not allowed to do so. Deputy observed signs of someone living in cabin, tenants advised to stay out of cabin.

Deputy Atkinson, theft; victim advised someone stole chainsaws from vehicle, did not have suspects, provided chainsaw serial numbers, entered as stolen.

August 9

Cpl. Cooper, warrant service, FM 49. Richard Nicholson, 62, Mineola arrested for outstanding warrant.

Cpl. Cooper, traffic stop, Hwy. 80; observed vehicle without front license plate, observed scent of burning marijuana, white powdery substance in baggie located in suspect’s pockets. Jeromy Bibbs, 35, El Paso arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft; caller believes daughter’s boyfriend stole items from truck, will call back with information to get items entered.

Deputy Atkinson, warrant service at adult probation. Mark Gleixner, 58, Winnsboro arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; one of the parties advised she was arguing with daughter who leaves residence, doesn’t come back for several days, doesn’t check on her children, case forwarded to Child Protective Services.
