June 29

Deputy Williams, suspicious circumstance, County Road 1885; homeowner found items scattered on fishing dock, belonged to male not allowed at residence, did not have suspects, wished to have incident documented.

Deputy Rapp, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, Hwy. 37; owner selling property, renter sold vehicle without permission, buyer stated had already taken parts off vehicle, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Gould, theft, County Road 2290; someone had stolen street sign, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, suspicious person, FM 2966; caller heard noises, observed male walking out of neighbor’s house, attempted to throw items, caller observed multiple windows broken in house, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, theft, Hwy. 37; trailer owner observed friend’s ex-boyfriend at house, stole trailer. Suspect advised deputy he did not take it, trailer not located, case forwarded to investigations.

June 30

Sgt. Cox, warrant service at adult probation; probation worker advised person in office had multiple warrants. Dispatch unable to confirm due to jail overpopulation, subject not arrested.

Deputy Williams, criminal trespass, County Road 1858; suspect did not want to comply with criminal trespass, advised if caught on property again would be arrested.

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, Hwy. 154; expired registration. After getting mixed stories from occupants, deputy performed consent to search, located baggies of crystal substance on passenger side. Jerry Crawford, 48, Quitman arrested for possession of controlled substance.

July 1

Deputy Croney, theft, FM 2088; someone had stolen another solar panel from property, same incident a few weeks prior at residence, caller did not have suspect or identifiers for panels.

Corporal Cooper, traffic stop, Hwy. 37; vehicle missing front license plate, driver acting nervous, asked to step out of vehicle. Cooper observed crystal substance in seat, tested substance as meth. James Adams, 30, Mineola arrested for possession of controlled substance. 

July 2

Sgt. Milbourn and investigations, search warrant, Private Road 6304. Charles Gill, 56, Mineola arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Corporal Cooper, 911 text, Hwy. 80; person at residence said there was argument, parties went into different building. Cooper observed large bag of crystal substance on table and male using smoking pipe with residue inside. Richard Nicholson, 54, Mineola arrested for possession of controlled substance.

July 3

Deputy Morrison, vehicle theft, County Road 2954; owner advised vehicle stolen during night while at friend’s house, case forwarded to investigations.

Corporal Cooper, intoxicated person, County Road 1681; suspect admitted she was intoxicated, showed multiple signs of intoxication. Tiffany Williams, 33, Canton arrested for public intoxication.

Sgt. Skinner, violation, Lake Holbrook. Multiple parties at beach had alcohol, asked to remove it. All parties cooperated, removed alcohol.

July 4

Deputy Williams, disturbance, FM 514; mother advised son and friend began arguing, turned physical. Both parties had scratches, refused to press charges, parties separated.

Sgt. Cox, theft, County Road 4930; someone stole gas out of vehicle during night, victim did not have suspect, advised to provide camera footage when obtained.

Sgt. Cox, theft, FM 852; package delivered to house, next day was missing, victim contacted shipping company, they picked package back up by accident, victim unable to contact shipping company, would like to file charges.

July 5

Deputy Gould, terroristic threat, Private Road 7631; university president advised school received threat on voicemail, would like extra patrol. FBI contacted by school, extra patrol put in.

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, Hwy. 80; vehicle license plate light out, during consent to search, stolen firearm located, recovered. Eric Cobern, 46, Grand Saline arrested for possession of stolen firearm. 

Deputy Williams, theft report, County Road 4798; someone stole street sign from residence, there were footprints near signs, victim believes suspect may be neighbor due to same footprints in their yard, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, lake rule violation, Lake Winnsboro; parties advised had been living at lake for awhile, would be leaving shortly.
