March 16

Deputy Jonah Croney, campers at Lake Winnsboro longer than seven days, advised of lake ordinance,  advised would leave in the morning.

Deputy Matthew Cooper, individual on side of Hwy. 80 with history of mental health crises, given ride home, released to son.

Deputy Andrew Morrison, alarm, CR 2450, no signs of foul play, all doors and windows secure, unable to contact keyholder.

Deputy Morrison, PR 6645, shots fired, observed individuals who appeared to have been shooting, confirmed shooting in safe manner.

Deputy Croney, FM 515, abandoned vehicle, camper left in parking lot, lot’s owner advised he would be responsible for towing.

Deputy Bonnie Sepulvado, theft, party made agreement with individual on social media for sale of vehicle, paid for vehicle, never delivered, wished to file charges, case going to Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

Deputies Morrison and Benjamin Whisenhunt, warrant, FM 2869, individual arrested.

Deputy Croney, criminal trespass warning, FM 312, residence appeared vacant.

Deputy Croney, theft, Waterfront Row, party left ladder in back of truck, gone next morning, incident documented.

Deputy Morrison observed individual sleeping under tree on Hwy. 37 on private property, informed could not stay, given courtesy transport.

Deputy Delton Graves, Holly Trail East, animal bite, party stated was feeding squirrel, bit on finger, sought medical treatment.

Deputy Graves, group of young adults at Lake Hawkins, asked to leave private property.

March 17

Deputy Croney, CR 1483, party concerned about people coming onto property, extra patrol added.

Deputy Morrison, scam, party received phone call reporting grandson in jail, no personal information compromised.

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, Ox Bow, party left residence for funeral, found house burglarized, third party gave possible suspects, case forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison, FM 49, criminal mischief, party stated mailbox damaged, gave possible suspect. 

Deputy Whisenhunt, FM 2869, neighbor’s dog killed chickens, owner stated would pay for chickens.

Deputy Croney, FM 778, burglary, extra patrol assigned.

Deputy Croney, animal bite, CR 1590, victim walking dog down road, two other dogs came after them aggressively, picked up her dog, attempted to use leg for protection, one of the dogs bit her on leg, returned to their residence, owner unable to provide rabies vaccines, issued citation, dog placed on ten-day quarantine.

Sgt. Austin Milbourn, CR 2280, suspicious circumstance, strange smell in area, unable to locate source, noticed smell had decreased.

Deputy Morrison and Deputy Whisenhunt, CR 3955, missing subject with dementia, located and returned to family.

Deputy Morrison, scam, possible scammer threatening to come to party’s residence, scammer hung up when deputy identified himself, no information compromised.

Deputy Croney, arson, CR 4583, party saw vehicle leave area, county fire marshal contacted.

Deputy Delton Graves, CR 3600, stolen vehicle, taken from property overnight, entered into state system, case forwarded to CID.

Sgt. Corbin Hanner, welfare check, Lake Winnsboro Marina, individual advised was homeless and staying at location a few days.

Deputy Graves, four flashlights seen on a private property, building found unsecured, keyholder stated someone may have left door open.

March 18

Deputy Linda Williams, theft, FM 312, party observed barrel sitting next to tractor, appeared gas possibly siphoned, report forwarded to CID.

Deputy Williams, landlord shutting off electricity, landlord was advised could not do that and must go through appropriate eviction channels.

Deputy Jim Rapp, robbery in progress, FM 2869, panic alarm had been pressed, no emergency.

Deputy Rapp, attempted theft, PR 7661, appeared someone attempted to steal vehicle, report filed.

Deputy Williams, CR 1585, suspicious person reported to have knocked on door of residence, individual could not be contacted.

Deputy Williams, fraud, FM 312, victim received phone call that she owed money, got gift cards, sent information to the person, report filed.

Deputy Colin Kovic, suspicious circumstance, caller believed someone prowling through yard at night, extra patrol assigned.

Deputy Rapp, alarm, CR 2460, door found unsecured, keyholder stated wind opened door.

Deputy Cooper, CR 1689, animal complaint, neighbors dog killed chicken, owner unable to provide rabies vaccinations. Citations issued.

Deputy Cooper, CR 2176, burning tires, subject stated trying to clear property, advised had to remove tires from fire.

Deputy Cooper, SH 154, motorcycle parked on side of road, man standing beside it, Cooper stopped to assist, man had warrant, taken into custody.

Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner, suspicious person, CR 3473, located individual, everything fine.

Deputy Williams, criminal mischief, CR 4530, mailboxes damaged, able to determine vehicle that caused damage.

Sgt. Brad Cox, bicycle on side of CR 3480, door to vehicle in same area was open, owner of residence stated was giving bicycle away and wife was smoking inside vehicle.

March 19

Deputy Jeff Baldwin, missing person, Hwy. 37, daughter missing, found and returned home.

Deputy Cooper, CR 2745, possible racing, unable to locate anyone driving recklessly.

Deputy Cooper, motorist assist, Hwy. 80, driver trying to set up GPS.

Deputy Cooper, theft, CR 1410, requesting extra patrol after someone took items from yard.

Deputy Kovic, FM 17, individual holding firearm for friend who was arrested, wanted to know what to do with it, told to give to family member who could legally possess it.

Deputy Jim Rapp, criminal mischief, FM 2869, damage to vehicle, items stolen from vehicle, report forwarded to CID.

Deputy Rapp, illegal burning, Hwy. 80, only wood and leaves being burned.

Deputy Williams, theft report, CR 4150, two mailboxes stolen, report forwarded to CID.

Deputy Kovic, FM 778, pasture fire possibly out of control, owner of property had fire under control.

Deputy Williams, CR 4150, criminal mischief, mailbox damaged, wished to pursue charges, case forwarded to CID.

Deputy Williams and Sgt. Cox, dispute, CR 4595, disagreement on how long moving out should take, party’s parents not as fast as he wanted due to age, advised to separate or get along, parties separated before deputies left.

Sgt. Cox, alarm, Hwy. 154, front door open, no one found in building, keyholder advised had forgotten to lock door.

Deputy Kovic, hold-up alarm, FM 2869, staff advised everything OK, did not know alarm was set off.

Deputy Rapp, CR 1660, extra patrol in area.

March 20

Deputy Cooper, welfare check, CR 2260, multiple parties advised woman in road, concerned she was beaten, two individuals’ stories did not match, suspect’s story did not match victim’s injuries. Brandon Lee Richardson, 30, Lamesa arrested, aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury – family violence.

Deputy Rapp, suspicious circumstance, CR 3148, neighbor caught on camera throwing thrash in yard, ongoing issue, party did not wish to take action, incident documented.

Deputy Rapp and Sgt. Cox, CR 2121, disturbance, individual having issues with neighbor, Jesse Howard Wells, 57, Quitman arrested for terroristic threat.

Deputy Rapp, CR 3880, theft and criminal mischief, ex-girlfriend moved out of residence, took several things, damaged property, report forwarded to CID.

Sgt. Skinner, CR 1941, assault, victim refused to make report, only wished to get medical assistance.

Deputy Cooper, fire, CR 1670, homeowner burning trash, residence caught fire, case forwarded to county fire marshal.

Deputy Jeff Baldwin and Sgt. Skinner, disturbance, CR 3234, child called stating dad was hurting mother, found parents in verbal argument and highly intoxicated, children appeared to be OK, neither parent wished to pursue charges, agreed to separate, courtesy ride given to father

March 21

Deputy Croney, horses kept in small pen, Hwy. 69, checked, found to be in good condition with shelter, food and water.

Sgt. Milbourn, PR 7631, individual possessing marijuana, possibly distributing it, Erin Ranea Peterson, 19, Dallas arrested for delivery of marijuana >1/4 oz <=5lbs in drug free zone.

Deputy Baldwin, CR 4450, man staying in a van, vehicle located, unoccupied.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Whisenhunt, animal call, CR 4645, owner of aggressive dogs advised what would happen if dogs made another unprovoked attack outside enclosure.

Deputy Croney, suspicious person, CR 2263, female walking down road, vehicle swerved, almost hitting her, female confirmed her husband drove the type of vehicle described by witness, stated she and husband had been in verbal altercation, she was taking a walk to cool down, denied almost being hit, husband confirmed verbal altercation, incident documented.

Deputy Croney, assault, CR 1660, party stated son kicked door in, knocked her down, no intent of injury when door was opened.

Deputy Whisenhunt, attempted scam, no information compromised, attempt documented.

Deputy Melissa Pollard, burglary, Meadow View Path, several items stolen from residence, report forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison, possibly suicidal subject, CR 2460, subject intoxicated, stated they did not wish to harm themselves or others, refused evaluation, roommates advised would oversee individual for the evening.

March 22

Deputy Sepulvado, criminal trespass warning, items missing from building on property, subject believes ex-husband took them, has key to building, requested criminal trespass warning, did not wish to press charges.

Deputy Croney, power line down, CR 3245, stayed on scene until off road.

Deputy Whisenhunt , FM 312, diesel theft, someone stole diesel out of vehicle, does wish to press charges.

Sgt. Milbourn, extra patrol, CR 3144, vehicle driving recklessly.

Deputy Whisenhunt, CR 5551, possible illegal burn, found tires had been burning but burned up, spoke with management, informed illegal to burn tires.

Deputy Croney, alarm, CR 3819, location found secure.

Deputy Croney and Sgt. Milbourn, CR 3420, criminal trespass in progress, individual fled scene, located vehicle reported stolen. CID contacted.

Deputy Morrison and Deputy Pollard, SH 154, assault. Tod Raymond Ladd, 27, Yantis and Levi Christian Rogers, 24, Emory arrested for assault by contact.
