Wood County adopts burning ban

Wood County commissioners voted Tuesday morning, Oct. 29 to adopt a ban on outdoor burning.
The ban was rescinded one week later on Nov. 5 after significant rainfall.
The ban is for 90 days and can be lifted sooner by the county judge if the county receives sufficient rain.
Household trash barrels can still be burned only if they are attended.
