We gather together
The Quitman Future Farmers of America (FFA) celebrated Thanksgiving a little early last week with a scrumptious meal featuring fried turkeys with all the trimmings.
FFA officers and LDE sweepstakes-winners were on hand to serve up the poultry along with green beans, dressing, mac and cheese and slough of desserts.
For a tradition going back at least fifteen years, forty turkeys were cooked earlier in the week.
The free meal is a way to show thankfulness and appreciation just before the holiday break.
