Mineola junior Trevion Sneed announced Sunday he has accepted an offer to play football for the Mustangs of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Sneed says he will be Mustang
Mineola junior Trevion Sneed announced Sunday he has accepted an offer to play football for the Mustangs of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Sneed, who plays running back and defensive end for the Mineola Yellowjackets and was the goalie for the Mineola soccer team, was being heavily recruited. He was also on the basketball team as a sophomore.
He decided to go ahead with his commitment on Sunday, ahead of his senior year.
Among the schools making offers to Sneed were the University of North Texas, Lamar University, Sam Houston State, New Mexico, Colorado State, University of Louisiana-Monroe, Stephen F. Austin, Liberty University, Southern Mississippi and Houston Baptist.
