Rally for Jacksonville College planned

There will be a Jacksonville College rally at Forest Hill Baptist Church north of Quitman on Highway 37 Monday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. sponsored by the Wood County Missionary Baptist Association.

Jacksonville College President Joe Lightner will be sharing an inspiring message, and music will be provided by the college’s choir.

Jacksonville College was established in 1899 and its purpose has always been to capture the minds and hearts of students for Christ. Today, the college has over 500 students from all over the world.

The rally is open to the public. Fred Morrow is the pastor at Forest Hill.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
