Eight Quitman High School students advanced to regional competition based on their performances at the district academic meet.
Competing in Nacogdoches on Saturday, April 17 will be Christian Adamson, KK Barnett, Justin Matthews, Oscar Roman, Delaney Flannagan, Ethan Presley, Rebecca Wood and Kaylie Wood.

Eight Quitman High School students advanced to regional competition based on their performances at the district academic meet.
Competing in Nacogdoches on Saturday, April 17 will be Christian Adamson, KK Barnett, Justin Matthews, Oscar Roman, Delaney Flannagan, Ethan Presley, Rebecca Wood and Kaylie Wood.
QHS students who palced at the district meet are as follows:
Christian Adamson – 2nd in Spelling and Vocabulary, 3rd place Ready Writing, 1st place Literary Criticism, 2nd place Social Studies
KK Barnett - 4th place Editorial Writing, 1st place Copy Editing, 5th place Mathematics
Keeley Glidewell – 5th place Current Issues and Events
Justin Matthews - 3rd place Calculator Application
Ethan Presley – 5th place Social Studies
Oscar Roman – 6th place Mathematics, 3rd place Literary Criticism
Luke Williams – 6th place Current Issues and EventsRebecca Wood – 6th placed in Poetry Interpretation
Literary Criticism – 1st place team: Adamson, Roman, Flannagan, Kaylie Wood
Social Studies – 1st place team: Adamson, Presley, Flannagan and Rebecca Wood
Spelling – 3rd place team: Adamson, Rojas and Kaylie Wood
Science – 3rd place team: Hornaday, Fry, Bautista, Brannon, Roman and Cross
Current Events and Issues – 3rd place team: William, Glidewell, Poppenhussen and Flores
