Quitman players earn all-district honors
Quitman’s volleyball season did not go as planned in Coach Allison Head’s first season, but district coaches did recognize some players for all-district honors. Quitman will return all but one senior from this year’s team, Sofia Tannebaum.
Honored as the district “Newcomer” was sophomore Allie Berry. Junior Addison Marcee was named to the first team while sophomore Peyton Kruckner and freshman Annabelle Popek made the second team.
Honorable mention team honors went to juniors Hannah Holland, Abby Day and Kaylie Wood along with sophomore Emilee Baker.
The team was well-represented on the Academic All-District team. Those ladies were senior Sofia Tannebaum; juniors Abby Day, Addison Marcee, Kallie Hoover, Kaylie Wood and Ashley Davis; and sophomores Emilee Baker, Sophia Reynolds, Alexandra Derryberry and Peyton Kruckner.
