Quitman lands players on all-district team

Coach Shane Webber’s Quitman gridiron Bulldogs were able to nail down several positions on this year’s District 9 Division II post season honors team.

Two players earned superlatives with freshman Klayton Meadows named “Utility Player of the Year” and Carson Dickens getting the “Special Teams Player of the Year.”

In a district deep with talent, Quitman’s Johnata Jones was named to the first team offensive line. Ethan Presley’s outstanding season was capped with a first team defensive line honor. Presley is set to play at the next level at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.

On second team defense, Brady Floyd and Thomas Sebedra made it at defensive back. On second team offense were fullback Landon Green, tight end Hayden Batchelder and offensive lineman Austin Jones.

Honorable mention on offense were quarterback Kameron Crockett, running back Mikey Pickering, tight end Ethan Presley, and offensive linemen Garin Kisinger, Michael Hipp and Noah Emmons.

Honorable mention on defense were lineman Devin Robertson, back Klayton Meadows and  linebackers Justin Matthews and Mikey Pickering.
