The Quitman FFA and Quitman Young Farmers held a combined auction Friday night which netted over $21,000 for the organizations. Not only was there an auction but plenty of food was served and tickets bought for a chance at more prizes.
“This is a big fundraiser and we are really happy with the outcome. The kids worked hard on these projects and enjoyed seeing their efforts pay off,” Quitman agriculture instructor Brant Lee said. “Part of this money will go to a charity and it also goes to contest fees, state convention travel, along with livestock and agriculture shows. The money is spent on the kids.”
