Mineola police reports for the past week included:

March 14 – At 3:54 p.m. a woman reported her debit card was used at Walmart without her consent.

A woman reported at 4:57 p.m. that her vehicle was stolen from the Walmart parking lot. It was located in the parking lot on the other side of the store. And at 5:41 p.m. a woman reported her vehicle was hit by another vehicle and damaged while sitting in the Walmart parking lot. The matter is under investigation.

March 13 – Police received a report that an assault had occurred on Kilpatrick Street between a man and woman. Officers responded and found the argument between the two was still in progress and the assault had just occurred. Nathaniel Lee Hurtzig, 20, Mineola was arrested for assault causing bodily injury family violence.

A mother reported that her daughter’s bicycle was damaged on Goodson Circle. The culprits were younger than 10 years old, so an officer talked with their parents and an agreement was made to handle the situation.

March 12 – At 3:57 p.m. a citizen reported someone in a vehicle dumping items in the Mineola Civic Center dumpster and leaving. The matter is under investigation.

A citizen reported a debit card left at BTH bank ATM. The card was returned to the owner.

A man on Cage Street asked to have a criminal trespass warning issued to a woman and an officer warned the woman about going on the property.

A woman on Pegues Street reported damage to the mirror on her vehicle.

At 10:55 p.m. a man reported he was in the Brookshire’s parking lot using their WiFi when another vehicle came up and followed him. He said he went to a convenience store and the car followed him again so he went to the police department parking lot to feel safe.

March 10 – At 3:51 p.m. personnel at My Credit Union reported a scam of at least two account members. An out-of-state man was supposed to pay customers to wrap their vehicle for advertisement. The man was supposed to send them a large check, but they were supposed to cash the check and send half back to him and then he would wrap the vehicle.

A loud music call was reported on Freeman Street at 5:03 p.m. The officer spoke with the person and advised them to turn the music down.

Police arrested Richard Glenn Bailiff, 28, Mineola for possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended (enhanced) after he was stopped for a traffic violation on South Johnson Street for failure to stop at a designated point.

March 9 – Personnel at Murphy USA at Walmart reported two gas drive-offs that occurred on different days with the same suspect in the same vehicle. There is a suspect.

Police arrested Mark W. McGowen, 42, Lindale on a Wood County warrant when he was a passenger on a traffic stop at McDonald and Graham Streets.
