Pittsburg jumps out early to defeat QHS ladies
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs fell behind Pittsburg 20-3 in the first quarter and could never recover, losing by a final tally of 56-36.
Quitman was down 38-21 at the half. Pittsburg took a 49-23 lead into the final quarter, coasting to the win.
Kaysi Parker led Quitman with 14 points followed by Kynlee Love and Maddy Pence who each scored seven points. Lindsey Hornaday scored six points for Quitman. Parker had a good night hitting 70% of her shots and adding five rebounds. Love and Pence each had eight rebounds for Quitman.
Quitman has two home games this week facing Union Grove Tuesday and Commerce Friday before opening District 12-3A at Mt. Vernon Dec. 15.
