Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Pennebaker passed away on April 21, 2021 at Emory Senior Suites.

Patsy was born on July 13, 1938 in Alba to William Taft and Doris Bell Hass. She married Charlie Wayne Pennebaker on March 3, 1956 in Rains County. They built a dairy farm in Emory and raised four children on it. Charlie’s Mother, Nannie Potts, lived with them for a time and they grew very close and she told stories about their special bond. When the kids were older, she worked at the Point sewing factory for several years, then drove a school bus for Rains ISD for many years. She enjoyed and took pride in her flowers and fruit trees. Pat was easily amused and loved to laugh. She often looked for ways to have fun with her friends and enjoyed girls movie and dinner night and church social events, as well as fish fries with her brothers. She spoke often of vacations to Branson, Mo. with Charlie, a trip to Galveston with Tony and family, and what she referred to as the vacation of a lifetime to visit her daughter Angie who was stationed in Hawaii at the time. She enjoyed painting and took art classes. Several of her paintings hung in her room at Senior Suites Nursing home where she resided in her last years.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Pennebaker and Tony Pennebaker and wife, Leisa; daughter, Angela Kellar and husband, Michael; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Taft Hass; her husband, Charlie; her daughter, Debbie Jo Fenter; and brother, William Taft Hass, Jr.
