Panthers strike early, defeat North Hopkins
Chaelton Cook pitched a complete game for the win Monday as Alba-Golden defeated North Hopkins 7-2 in district baseball.
The Panthers pounded out 10 hits while scoring all their runs in the first four innings. Cook yielded single runs in the fifth and seventh frames.
A single by Easton Campbell to drive in two runs followed by a two-RBI double by Cook in the second gave Alba-Golden all the runs they would need.
Cook struck out five and issued four walks in seven innings of work in a game moved up from Tuesday.
