Panther bats roll in win
The Alba-Golden Panthers needed just five innings – and four at bats – to dispatch Sulphur Bluff last Tuesday, 13-2.
The Panthers broke on top in the first with three runs, then answered Sulphur Bluff’s two in the second with seven more.
Three in the fourth allowed the Panthers to end the game after a scoreless top of the fifth.
Alba-Golden’s offense accounted for 12 hits in just four at bats, and they also took advantage of five Sulphur Bluff fielding errors.
Nick Hallman and Chelton Cook each accounted for three hits, with Cook driving in three runs.
Jayden Green also plated three and Micah Smith two.
Easton Campbell and Boedy Baker each reached twice on walks.
Landon Green threw all five innings, striking out 10 Sulphur Bluff batters and allowing five hits.
