Aside from a few downed limbs, your Arboretum continues to flourish as spring brings on blooms and of course . . . the SPRING PLANT SALE.

Join us at the Arboretum at the back of Hogg Park on Saturday, April 9th for the annual Spring Plant Sale. The front gate of the Pickett Fence will open at 8:00 and will remain open until the sales force drops in their tracks. There will be shrubs, perennials, and annuals that are all appropriate for this growing area. We promise to help you with your selections (if needed), and give you information on successful planting and maintenance if you wish.

Along this same line of thought, let me remind you that the next COMMUNITY GARDENING CLASS will be HELD ON Saturday, April 16th at 9:00. Once again no reservation, no fee and no experience is necessary as Lin Grado instructs on how to successfully plant trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. You may want to bring along some gardening gloves if you would like some "hands on" experience. The Water Wise Garden, located between the parking lot and the Carrol Greene fence line, is starting to show some spring growth and color. Make sure to come by and see what a successful garden can look like with only irrigation from Mother Nature. NO hoses, no drip irrigation, and best of all - no high water bills.
