February 21

12:45 a.m., suspicious person, E. Broad, subject rang door bell, nothing located.

3:07 a.m., information, N. Pacific, subject paid for gas at pump and getting message to pay at desk, advised he could leave.

7:30 a.m., suspicious person, E. Broad, subject from prior call found sleeping in laundry room behind house, Joshua Lance Blue, Plainview, arrested for criminal trespass of habitation.

8:21 p.m., suspicious person, Pegues, someone knocked on door asking about person, unable to locate.

11:32 p.m., drunken subject, E. McDonald, returned home. 

February 22

12:08 a.m., reckless driver, 2200 blk N. Pacific at city limits, 18 wheeler swerving, vehicle stopped, citation and two warnings issued.

1:53 a.m., information, CR 2460, assistance sought asking abusive daughter to leave.

4:40 a.m., information 100 blk W. Front, open 911 call.

9:23 a.m., welfare concern, E. Blair, someone trying to break in, no signs of criminal activity.

10:24 a.m., information, E. Broad, car in alley, owner working on it, will have it towed if unable to get moved.

10:27 a.m., escort, N. Johnson, funeral.

11:52 a.m., assist other agency, Minwood, RV on fire.

5:35 p.m., criminal mischief, N. Pacific, was shaving cream and not paint sprayed.

7:11 p.m., public assist, N. Pacific, spoke with juvenile about prior event.

7:20 p.m., reckless driver, NE Loop 564, possible intoxicated driver, unable to locate.

8:09 p.m., theft, NE Loop 564, theft in progress, one subject on motorized cart still in store, keeps taking items and putting back, second subject possible look out, leaving in vehicle, subjects stopped, one fighting officers. Trena Michelle Gonzales, Carthage, arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest, search or transport. Jessica Marie Damian, Grand Saline, arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, unlawful use of criminal instrument and theft less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions.

February 23

12:40 a.m., assist other agency, E. Hwy. 80 at FM 1804, Smith County pursuit, outside city limits.

9:40 a.m., welfare concern, Minwood, 911 call, possibly accidental.

10:15 a.m., welfare concern, W. Kilpatrick, open 911 line, no one appears to be home.

3:04 p.m., welfare concern, W. Kilpatrick, subject went willingly with EMS to Quitman hospital.

5:35 p.m., welfare concern, Cage, resident recently went to nursing home and house is vacant.

8:20 p.m., assist other agency, N. Pacific, medical call.

8:26 p.m., information, CR 2647, referred to sheriff’s office due to location.

8:40 p.m., theft, Hwy. 37 at city limits, possible stolen vehicle coming into city, unable to locate.

10:06 p.m., sexual assault, Goodson Cir., attempt to set up interview with sexual assault nurse examiner. 

February 24

6:42 a.m., motorist assist, 4100 blk S. Hwy. 37, tire came off, help on its way.

7:32 a.m., burglary, N. Line, home for sale broken into with crow bar, jar of coins taken.

10:29 a.m., welfare concern, S. Johnson, transferred to sheriff’s office due to subject’s location actually outside city.

11:55 a.m., found property, E. Broad, beanie left behind by subject arrested for trespassing, released to county jail to return to subject.

2:06 p.m., public assist, NE Loop 564, subject panhandling in parking lot, will be leaving.

5:54 p.m., theft, NE Loop 564, wallet was located.

6:52 p.m., welfare concern, N. Pacific, man asleep in running vehicle, waiting on someone at clinic, did not realize it was closed.

6:54 p.m., harassment, Edwards, text threats, criminal trespass requested.

10:37 p.m., suspicious person, 100 blk Gerald, someone working in yard using drill. 

February 25

7:25 a.m., motor vehicle accident, S. Pacific at E. Broad, two vehicles, no injuries.

11:04 a.m., terroristic threat, W. Broad, unknown subjects calls, making threats.

11:13 a.m., trespassing, Wigley, request to criminally trespass subject, issued.

11:41 a.m., motor vehicle accident, Line at W. Commerce, hit and run, hit fence.

2:49 p.m., suspicious person, N. Pacific, subject wandering around building, unable to locate.

3:06 p.m., assist other agency, CR 2200, grass fire.

6:06 p.m., welfare concern, Pacific at Patten, possibly subject from prior call, unable to locate, officers believe subject may be hiding from them.

8:56 p.m., criminal mischief, E. Front, information concerning earlier call.

9:11 p.m., welfare concern, N. Pacific, subject from prior call denied assistance and advised would be leaving the area in the morning.

9:18 p.m., unknown offense, CR 2540, forwarded to sheriff’s office due to location.

9:42 p.m., reckless driver, 2200 blk N. Pacific, unable to maintain lane or speed, throwing things out window, spoke to subjects, no report. 

February 26

5:22 a.m., motor vehicle accident, S. Pacific, vehicle ran off roadway, through fence and part of produce stand.

10:33 a.m., information, N. Pacific, someone made charges to subject’s bank account, bank refunded money to account holder.

10:40 a.m., disturbance, W. Patten, subjects not fighting, having vehicle trouble.

11:18 a.m., welfare concern, Clara, subject’s vehicle not home.

12:28 p.m., inquest, Sycamore, justice of peace and funeral home contacted, animals taken to shelter.

1:05 p.m., found property, N. Pacific, property left from homeless person.

2:04 p.m., reckless driver, 2200 blk N. Pacific, passing on shoulder, no violation observed.

6:05 p.m., motor vehicle accident, 2200 blk N. Pacific, two vehicles, one subject transported to Tyler by EMS.

9:50 p.m., assist other agency, W. Blair, medical call.

10:06 p.m., theft, E. Broad, customer walked out without paying. 

February 27

7:46 a.m., public assist, 300 Greenville, request to speak to officer.

8:44 a.m., suspicious vehicle, 2200 blk N. Pacific, driver has warrant for Wood County SO, county has subject in custody.

12:13 p.m., found property, N. Pacific, Quitman ISD badge in parking lot, released to owner.

12:41 p.m., suspicious vehicle, N. Pacific, having car trouble.

2:39 p.m., city ordinance violation, NE Loop 564, woman with young child in parking lot selling flowers, unable to locate, subjects did have permission.

3:33 p.m., suspicious person, Graham, subject going door to door selling solar systems, advised would need a permit.

4:19 p.m., suspicious persons, W. McDonald, three neighbors cleaning.

5:11 p.m., identity theft, W. Blair, woman from online dating site claiming to be with IRS.

5:28 p.m., city ordinance violation, Nancy, someone burning, issued warning and fire put out.

6:03 p.m., suspicious persons, Robin, subjects selling solar power systems, issued citations.

6:47 p.m., suspicious persons, N. Newsom, same issue as prior call, unable to locate.

10:10 p.m., assist other agency Wren, assist EMS.

11:35 p.m., suspicious vehicle, N. Newsom,  several items put back in Dumpster. 

February 28

11:26 a.m., information, 1000 blk S. Pacific, vehicle repossession.

11:30 a.m., motor vehicle accident, NE Loop 564, parking lot.

11:51 a.m., civil matter, S. Pacific, dispute concerning attempted car trade-in.

11:59 a.m., assist other agency S. Johnson, smoke in back of building.

1:33 p.m., welfare concern, Molly, assist with contacting subject.

6:02 p.m., civil matter, E. Broad, vehicle returned prior to officer arrival.

6:05 p.m., motor vehicle accident, NE Loop 564, minor in parking lot.

7:13 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564, distraught female, given courtesy transport.

7:28 p.m., missing person, Bowdoin, subject contacted and is OK.

8:05 p.m., suspicious person, NE Loop 564, person looking in vehicle windows, everything OK.

9:22 p.m., welfare concern, Wigley,  subject contacted and is OK.

Officers also made 78 traffic stops and answered 27 animal control calls and eight alarms.
