3:09 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted when officers observed a man operating an ATV on a public street at S. Johnson and Belcher Streets. The man took the ATV home and received a warning.

June 11

3:09 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted when officers observed a man operating an ATV on a public street at S. Johnson and Belcher Streets. The man took the ATV home and received a warning.

5:06 p.m. A woman reported while traveling eastbound in the 1000 block of E. Broad St. that her window glass shattered.  Officers found that the window had been struck with what appeared to be a pellet or BB gun projectile.  This case is under investigation. 

6:47 p.m. A woman stated that a vehicle accident occurred in the Walmart parking lot on June 5 and that she and the other driver failed to exchange information and needs an accident report.

June 12

12:50 p.m. A dog bite was reported in the 300 block of E. Broad St. The dog was placed into quarantine. The woman reported that the dog was going toward her small child aggressively when she jumped in between the two and was bitten. The owner was contacted by animal control and during the surrender to the shelter the owner of the dog was also bitten. A second dog bite report was completed. 

12:00 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 500 block of W. Blair St. The caller advised that his brother and his brother’s girlfriend were having a dispute inside the home. Officers found that the issue was verbal only. The two separated. No offense had occurred.

5:35 p.m. A woman spoke to officers in the Walmart parking lot about a hit and run that she was involved in. It was found that the accident had taken place outside the city limits in county’s jurisdiction. The officers contacted the county. The woman stated that she could not wait on a deputy to arrive and left. Officers relayed her information to the sheriff’s department. 

11:14 p.m. Officers assisted EMS with locating a man who was reported by his girlfriend as having some sort of a medical problem while he was walking. The man was located in the area of Second St. and West Patten St. and transported to the hospital by EMS.

June 13

9:43 a.m. A wallet was found in the parking lot of Walmart and turned into the police department. The owner was located. 

7:52 p.m. Officers were called to assist with a man who had passed out in a business in the 200 block of W. Broad St. Officers requested EMS. The man was transported to the hospital.

10:45 p.m. Officers responded to a loud music complaint in the 700 block of Padgett St. The loud music was found and was turned down after officers talked with the homeowner. 

June 14

3:30 a.m. Officers checked on a vehicle that was found in a closed businesses parking lot located in the 1700 block of West Loop 564. The vehicle was unoccupied and after a license plate check, the vehicle was logged as suspicious for further investigation. 

10:30 a.m. Dispatch received a call in reference to several goats running loose on S. Johnson St. and Belcher St.  The goats were back behind a gate when officers arrived. 

8:20 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 500 block of Landers St. A woman reported that a man was refusing to leave her residence after he was asked.  The male subject had left prior to officers’ arrival. After further investigation it was determined that no offense had been committed. 

June 15

11:56 a.m. A business in the 1000 block of E. Broad St. reported a theft of service. The business owner stated that a rented vehicle has not been returned on time. The case has been forwarded to criminal investigations. 

5:37 p.m. A reckless driver was reported. The caller stated that the driver had collided with three mailboxes with his vehicle in the 1200 block of W. Broad St. The driver was located by officers, who found no signs of intoxication. The driver stated he was distracted and that was the reason for striking the mailboxes. An accident report was completed. 

8:57 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft of a cellphone. A man reported to officers that his cell phone was left in a restroom by accident.  The man returned to the restroom a short time later only to find that his phone had been removed. A theft report was made. The reporting party called the police department back on the 17th and stated that his phone had been turned into the store. The cell phone was returned to the owner. 

11:54 p.m. Officers responded to a business in the 100 block of the North East Loop 564 for a possible intoxicated male. Employees of the business stated they told the male subject they were calling the police. The man then got into a vehicle and left in an unknown direction.  Wood County was contacted to be on the lookout for the possible intoxicated driver. A license plate number and a description of the vehicle was obtained. 

June 16

4:00 a.m. Dispatch talked with a towing company that stated they were called to assist a stranded motorist on S. Pacific St. The company assisted the motorist with getting his vehicle running. The caller stated when the vehicle was fixed that the driver sped off, not paying for the service. The vehicle was located a short time later. A theft of service report was made. Investigation continues. 

11:28 a.m. A business in the 100 block of E. Broad St. reported a man harassing one of their employees. The man had been asked several times to stop. The man had left the business before officers arrived. The business was advised to contact the police department if and when the man returns to their location. Investigation continues. 

3:05 p.m. Officers assisted a stranded 18 wheeler at the intersection of North Pacific and Loop 564. The vehicle was removed off the roadway until a towing company was available for pick up. Traffic flow was returned to normal. 

June 17

12:08 a.m.  Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Debby Lane when a manager of a business contacted the police department. The manager stated that several unauthorized people were in a room with load music playing. Officer talked with the occupants and told them to keep the music turned down. The manager advised that the unauthorized persons had left prior to the officers’ arrival. 

11:17 a.m. Dispatchers reported a verbal disturbance in the parking lot of the police department. Officers talked with the two subjects that came to the police department originally to discuss a civil issue. No offense had been committed.  

2:17 p.m. A citizen turned in a credit card found at E. Broad St. and N. Pacific St. Contact was made with the card holder and will be returned.

5:17 p.m. Officers responded to E. Broad St. and Pacific St. in reference to a driver who had fallen asleep. The caller stated that they had approached the vehicle and the driver was asleep in his vehicle in the intersection. The driver then awoke and drove off, traveling eastbound on Broad. Officers checked the area and a description of the vehicle was broadcasted to other agencies. The vehicle was not located inside the city limits of Mineola.

6:30 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the 400 block of W. Broad St. The caller stated that the incident occurred when the driver of another vehicle swerved in front of the caller’s vehicle. The two drivers then got into a yelling match after both drivers pulled into a parking lot. The two drivers went on their separate ways after no one wished to file criminal charges. 

8:17 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance located in the 400 block of Goodson St. The caller stated that five or six people were fighting and assaulting each other. Officers learned that a truck had just left the area before the officers’ arrival. The remaining people left the immediate location after their identification was checked and documented. No charges were filed. 

9:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of Short St. in reference to an anonymous call of a teenager walking around the neighborhood with a .22 rifle. The caller stated that a window had been damaged by the teenager. Officers located and spoke to a person of interest. The property owner wished to remain anonymous and did not want a police report.
