Mineola police offering child safety seat checks
Mineola Police Department now offers child safety seat checks with a certified technician.
National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Certification Training is a 3-day program of Safe Kids Worldwide.
Statistics found that the majority of parents misuse child restraints.
With a community CPS technician, parents and caregivers receive one-on-one education and hands-on assistance with proper use of child car seats and seat belts.
The MPD technician will check to make sure the seat is installed correctly and teach parents how to use and install a seat on their own.
Please contact the Mineola Police Dept. to schedule an appointment, 903-569-6294.
