Mineola Memorial Library Notes
Thank you all for your patience and an even bigger thank you to the staff of the Mineola Memorial Library.
We have been short-staffed the last several weeks, and the staff stepped up along with numerous volunteers to keep the doors open and things running as smoothly as possible.
Thank you to the volunteers who came in and for you, the public, for your understanding.
We had a great time when Pastor Boyd of St Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church read to and with the children during Pajama Story Time.
He does an excellent job reading and getting the children involved in the stories. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for hosting this event and to Pastor Boyd for being the guest reader.
Toddler Story Time happens on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 3 years and their parents.
They get a story, an activity and a chance to play together while parents talk to each other and play with the children.
East Texas Library Friends met and discussed Kristin Hannah’s “Four Winds.” The next book for the March meeting is “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” followed by “The World Played Chess” then “The Book of Lost Names.”
We are beginning to look to the summer for our summer reading activities.
We will be offering in-person programming and hope you will join us for those activities.
We received donations from Roy Devlin, Diana Bankhead and Linda Rhodes. The Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit and your donations may be tax deductible.
