What a whirlwind of weather! Warm and springy then cold and wintry. Books are just perfect for this kind of weather.

Thank you for all of the kind words you posted on our Love Your Library display during February. That encouragement means a lot to us.

Did you know you can reserve a book and we’ll let you know when it is ready for you to pick up? This is for physical items such as books, audio books and even movies. Go online to mineolalibrary.com, log in with your library card and PIN, then select what you would like to read, listen or watch. We’ll get notification and pull the item when it is available and let you know. We will hold an item for five business days then it either goes on to the next person in line or back on the shelf. You can also call the library about an item or while you are in the library, if the item is checked out, the staff will be happy to reserve it for you.

Our regular line up of events continues in March. Toddlers on Tuesdays at 9 a.m., Preschool on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., Homeschool Heroes the first and third Fridays at 10 a.m. and East Texas Perfictionist Book Club the last Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. This book club is reading “Bookshop Ladies” by Faith Hogan.

We would love to have you stop by the library located at 301 N. Pacific in Mineola. You can call us on the telephone, 903-569-2767. We are on the web at mineolalibrary.com. If you stop by in person, remember, we are closed Sunday and Monday (and have been since July 1975). We open Tuesday to Saturday at 9 a.m. Tuesday we are here 9-6, Wednesday 9-5:30, Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-4 and Saturday 9-3.

Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax-deductible.
