Mineola in regional basketball final

Mineola and Hooks square off in the regional basketball final Saturday afterenoon in Prosper.

Hooks has the lead after the first quarter 16-9.

At the half, Hooks 35, Mineola 26. Jackets got within 26-22 and Hornets responded with a pair of three-pointers.

Mineola opened the third quarterb on a 10-2 run to get within one point, but Hooks had the final seven points of the quarter for a 44-36 lead.

Jackets can't get the shots to fall in the 4th quarter and end the seaosn with a 56-43 loss.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
