The fall season is now in full swing as the month of October has arrived and with the change in season Homecoming is just two weeks away.
This year’s homecoming events will officially kick off Oct. 25 as Mineola High School will be holding an 8 p.m. bonfire and pep rally. The pep rally will be held on West Patten Street at the old practice field.
On Friday, Oct. 27 another pep rally will be held at 8:40 a.m. at Meredith Memorial Stadium for parents and students prior to the football game. Students on Friday will also be released from school at 1 p.m.
The Homecoming parade will be held at 3 p.m. followed by the community pep rally at the gazebo in downtown Mineola. The route for the pep rally will a take a left on Lankford Street by the Mineola Community Bank and another left on Commerce before ending near the gazebo.
The homecoming football game will cap things off as the Yellowjackets host Grand Saline High School. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
