Quitman Pilots honor caregivers
The Pilot Club of Quitman recognizes and honors caregivers each month. The club presented the June Caregivers of the Month to the housekeeping and maintenance departments of East Texas Medical Center Quitman.
Pilot Betty Stribley reported that the Pilot Club members told the employees that while the hospital is a wonderful asset to the community, it is the employees that make a difference for the citizens of Wood County. “The doctors and nurses are extremely valuable assets but they cannot do their job effectively without the support of numerous employees,” she said.
Pilot representatives Betty Stribley and Deborah Bramble presented the certificate to supervisors Kimberly Watterson and David Cody and thanked them for the way their departments serve the hospital and the citizens of Wood County. Each department was then presented with a home-baked chocolate cake.
