Shirley Jayne Benishek

ALBA-Services for Shirley Benishek, 78, Alba, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Spanish Church at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola. Rev. Jim Parker and Merle Parker will officiate.

Mrs. Benishek died August 7, 2016, in a Tyler hospital. She was born April 28, 1938, in Wood County to the late Samuel and Goldie Caldwell. She worked in the clothing industry and was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in the Alba area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Albert Benishek, Jr.

Survivors include a son, Philip Banishek, Alba; daughter, Cynthia Barnes, Alba; sister, Kathryn Sue Collis, Athens; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
