Library friends host meet and greet

The Friends of the Mineola Library will host a meet and greet for all who want to learn more about the Friends group.

It will be held Friday, Oct. 21 at the Mineola Library, N. Pacific at Blair, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

There will be door prizes, delicious treats and a friendly discussion about all things “books” by book lovers and library supporters.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
