Lady Bulldogs lose in finale
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs lost to the playoff bound Harmony Lady Eagles 17-1 in the final game of the season Monday.
Leading 3-0, the Lady Eagles crossed home plate 10 times in the top of the third. Quitman got a lone run in the bottom of the third inning, but the damage had been done. Harmony got four more in the top of the fourth to give the Lady Eagles the 17-1 advantage.
Harmony had 17 hits with two of those coming from home run blasts by Jenci Seahorn and Kinzee Settles. Alexis O’Neal, Ashley Davis, Kennedi Elmore, Reiny Luman and Addison Marcee collected the hits for the Lady Bulldogs. O’Neal had a triple for Quitman.
Quitman ended the season with a 4-8 district record.
