The first Quitman Labor Day Weekend Benefit will be held Saturday, Sept. 4 in the area north of the courthouse on the square beginning at 10 a.m. and ending that evening at 6 p.m.

The event is being organized by Brandi Hood of HoodRatz Kustom Cycles. There will be fun for the whole family. Motorcycle events including a poker run and bike games will be held.

A variety of organizations will use the day to raise funds for their different causes. There will be food trucks, along with local business vendors. Several raffles will be held throughout the day.

Hood is also expecting several Second Amendment vendors with firearms equipment and accessories as well as demonstrations throughout the day.

Local country music talent Don Woods has confirmed he will be entertaining. There has not been a definite time set for the Woods concert.
