Services for Jimmy Ray Butler, 87, of Mineola are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at Broad Street Church of Christ with Minister Jay Bailey and Minister John Villarreal officiating.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mr. Butler passed away Nov. 30, 2021 in Jacksonville. He was born Nov. 21, 1934 in Alba to Joseph Claud (Jack) and Georgia Jewel Poston Butler. He married Mary Frances Self in Irving on June 16, 1956. Jimmy was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ, Mineola. He was formerly a member of Legacy Church of Christ, Fort Worth, where he was an elder for many years. Jimmy served in the United States Army from 1957-63. He owned and operated Qualistar, Inc. for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Flois Butler.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Butler of Mineola; daughter, Sherry Lynn Casella and husband Geoffrey of Spring; brother, Paul Butler of Lubbock, sister, Linnie Bryant of Hughes Springs; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
