Looking for leads on FM 2966 burglary
Wood County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a boat and trailer stolen from a home on Farm-to-Market 2966.
The 24 foot, 2010 Supra sports boat had a 340 Indmar motor and was valued at $85,000. A Boatmate custom boat trailer valued at $5,000 was also taken.
Items stolen from inside the home include an LG flatscreen TV, Sony Surround Sound System, Sony flatscreen TV, red Xbox 360, Vizio flatscreen TV, Sony DVD player and dart board. Also taken were a TV wall mount, 35 DVDs and Troy Bilt power washer.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department said these items were taken after the homeowner left at 5 a.m. on July 29 and returned on Aug. 2 at about 5:10 a.m.
There were no readily apparent signs of forced entry and the homeowner stated that all doors and windows were locked when he left. When he came home he found that screens had been taken off several windows but the windows were still closed and locked.
Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call Wood County Crime Stoppers at 903-763-2274.
