Hawks, Lady Hawks take wins over Eagles
The Hawkins Hawks traveled to New Diana and took a road win defeating the Eagles 70-45 last Monday.
The Hawks took a 32-19 lead at the half and increased the advantage to 50-31 going into the final quarter. The Hawks added a 20-12 final quarter advantage to bring home the 70-45 victory.
Camron Taylor led the Hawks with 19 points with Zach Coned adding 15 including a pair of triples. Tristan Garrett scored 11, Paeton Smith and Akim Richmond six each, Jayden Dacus five, and with two apiece were Chris Jackson and Tyson Cutley. Garrett and Dacus each had one three-point score.
Hawkins also won the JV game 43-33.
The varsity and JV were scheduled to host Tyler Heat at press time Tuesday.
