Hawkins ladies rip Cumberland, 63-22; JV claims 37-16 win
The Lady Hawks were victorious against Cumberland Academy 63-22 on Tuesday, Nov. 27, with the help of Lynli Dacus, who scored 15 points.
Harlie Conover put up three three-pointers and scored 11 points total. Two other players also added 10 or more points for Hawkins. Alyssa Eddington added 10 points. Also helping the effort for Hawkins were Christian Harris (6 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals), Jaycee Cheshire (5 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block), Aaliyah Davis (4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), Logan Jaco (4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block), and Emily Moore (2 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal).
The Lady Hawks stormed to a 22-6 first quarter lead and built up a 41-13 lead by intermission.
They outscored Cumberland 22-9 in the second half leading to the 41 point win.
In the JV game Hawkins took a 37-16 win over Cumberland.
