The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers hosted the talented Lady Hawks last Tuesday, falling to Hawkins 62-48.
The Lady Hawks sprinted to an 11-2 lead and never looked back.
A 13-0 Hawkins run in the second quarter put a stranglehold on the game, though Alba-Golden did finish the opening half strong.
Kalli Trimble hit three point shots on consecutive trips down the floor from just beyond the right elbow. On the next possession, she faked the same shot and drove the lane, scoring on a lay-up to put the score at 34-23 Lady Hawks at halftime.
The Lady Panthers were unable to carry much momentum over to the second half, falling behind by as many as 21 points before some junk time in the fourth quarter.
Lainey Teal led Alba-Golden with 15 points and seven rebounds.
