Hawkins downs Arp
The Hawkins Hawks had the hot hand in the first half taking a 43-22 lead at intermission leading them to a 73-64 win over Arp Friday night.
Arp had a big third quarter to get back into the game by outscoring the Hawks 25-11 and closing the gap to 54-47 after three quarters.
Tristian Garrett with 22 points and Caron Taylor with 20 led the Hawks in scoring. Jayden Dacus had 12 points on four successful three point shots. Collin Barber and Akim Richmond each added eight points while Paeton Smith added two and Chris Jackson one.
The Hawks open District 18-2A action at Carlisle Tuesday.
