Shawn Hasley Moore, 38, of Hawkins was indicted by the Wood County Grand Jury Monday, June 16 for murder, a first degree felony. He is charged with the shooting death of Mitchell Palmer at a residence in Hawkins March 28, 2025.

He was arrested that day at the scene and remains jailed on a $1,000,000 bond. He has been assigned a court-appointed attorney, Sten Langsjoen.

Ryan Dewayne Clay, Hawkins, assault causes bodily injury of family/household member impeding breathing/circulation, third degree felony, March 26, 2025.

Michael Tanner Crenshaw, Mineola, PCS PG2 less than one gram, state jail felony, Jan. 10, 2024.

Gulian Alexis Cruz, Tyler, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance PG2 four grams or more but less than 200, first degree felony; possession of marijuana five pounds or less but more than four ounces, state jail felony, Dec. 27, 2024.

Jessica Marie Damian, Grand Saline, PCS PG1/1-B less than one gram, state jail felony; theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions. Feb. 22, 2025.

Chris Evin Pyron, Winnsboro, PCS PG1/1-B four grams or more but less than 200, second degree felony, Feb. 5, 2025. Pyron entered a guilty plea June 11 and received five years in state prison and a $1,500 fine.
